Shipping Your Goods

If you have decided to ship your stuff to Italy, you should be aware that persons moving to Italy have only one year in which to ship belongings duty free. After that, you will be assessed a substantial duty, often more than 20%. Italian citizens who have been registered in A.I.R.E. (registry of Italian citizens abroad) for at least 12 months are also entitled to ship goods duty free upon moving back to Italy.
